Prerequisites: Rescue Systems 1 (2009) and Low Angle Rope Rescue Operations (LARRO) OR Rescue Systems 1 (prior to 2009)

Deadline to Register: Oct. 7, 2019

Description:This course will prepare participants to undergo competency testing for high angle rescue. The scope of the program is to familiarize participants with the high angle environment and experience; and for them to safely participate in the engineering and operation of simple to complex rescue systems.

Equipment Students Should Bring: 

Students MUST BRING the following Items to class:

  1. Students are to provide their own Class III harness, with chest ascender, helmet and gloves. STUDENTS MUST DOWNLOAD the manual from the following SFM link: http://osfm.fire.ca.gov/training/pdf/Rescue Systems Training Resources/RSSCT/RopeRescueTechnicianManual.pdf
  2. Please bring your State Fire Training ID #   to the first day of Class
